BRIEF: Virginia College to hold grand opening next week

The city's newest college will hold a grand opening and open house March 21.
Virginia College opened in October with 152 students at a former Kmart store at 3740 S. Holden Road. The college eventually expects to enroll 500 students in programs such as cosmetology, culinary arts, health care and computer network engineering.
Guests will be able to tour the 60,000-square foot facility and meet the college's faculty and staff. The event will run from 5 to 7 p.m. and also will serve as a Business After Hours for the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce.
Virginia College is a private, for-profit college with 26 campuses in 11 states, mostly in the Southeast. It is owned by Education Corporation of America, based in Birmingham, Ala. This is the college's first North Carolina location.
