Mar 15, 2013 (Duluth News Tribune - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Police are investigating a reported armed robbery at the Sixth Street Market in Ashland.
A clerk at the market told police a man came in just before closing Wednesday and demanded cash from the register. The man pointed a silver, semi-automatic pistol at the clerk, who handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. The robber left on foot, police said.
The suspect is described as a white man about 6 feet, 1 inch tall with blond hair. His speech seemed slurred, although he did not smell of alcohol, the clerk told police.
Contact the Ashland Police Department at (715) 682-7062 if you have information about the incident.
