The Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education, or NOCHE, and Cleveland Business Connects Magazine will honor the best interns, mentors and internship programs in Northeast Ohio at the 2013 Expys awards program.
The winners will be announced at The Expys luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Independence. A list of finalists is available at www.noche.org/expys .
The council received a record-breaking number of nominations in 2013, with almost 300 candidates in seven categories: best intern, best mentor, best new internship, best small company internship, best large company internship, best college adviser and coolest internship.
"Internships lead to jobs and are critical to Northeast Ohio's talent development efforts, and we are excited to continue the tradition that we started in 2011 of recognizing excellence in experiential learning," said NOCHE Executive Director Ann Womer Benjamin.
The Expys is open to the public. Tickets are $35 ($25 for NOCHE member schools and subscribers of CBC Magazine) and may be reserved online at www.noche.org/expys . Advance registration is recommended.
