Kaelus Launches DAS Interface Solutions Providing Clean RF Power Management
CENTENNIAL, Colo. --(Business Wire)--
Building on its market-leading competence in designing high-performance
RF solutions, Kaelus has launched a new range of low PIM power
management solutions to support Distributed Antenna System (DAS)
networks.
The Kaelus DAS Interface Solution (DIS) unit was designed to provide the
power management interface between an in-building RF source (BTS or
repeater) and SISO or MIMO DAS head end.
Wireless service providers are faced with deploying and operating indoor
and outdoor DAS networks to enhance their end-users' experience by
providing better coverage and greater data rate capacity. When working
with systems which support multiple providers with rich data content, it
is essential to ensure a "clean" RF environment to minimize signal
distortion while providing efficient power management to ensure product
reliability.
"The market demands better products and a greater understanding of the
management of DAS environments and Kaelus is responding to this need,"
said Jacqui McLaughlin, President of Kaelus. "Kaelus' heritage in PIM
instruments and high-performance network optimization products will
ensure an industry-leading clean RF path to the DAS array irrespective
of te number of combined carriers or power level."
The Kaelus DIS is currently available in eight of the major network
bands and can be customized based on specific customer requirements.
