BRIEF: Family medicine resident earns honors

Dr. Philip Eskew, a family medicine resident at Danville Regional Medical Center, recently earned second place honors in the American College of Legal Medicine 2013 ORR Competition.
Eskew won for his manuscript submission titled "Obtaining Medical Licensure Without Federal Graduate Medical Education Funding." He was awarded a prize of $500 and his manuscript is currently being reviewed by the editors of the Journal of Legal Medicine for possible publication.
"This is a great honor for Dr. Eskew," said Dr. Patricia Matto, director of DRMC's Osteopathic Graduate Medical Education Program. "Dr. Eskew is to be commended on writing and submitting an excellent manuscript."
