Answer: This is a 7-inch tablet powered by a 1.2GHz Mediatek dual- core processor with 512MB of RAM.
The tablet runs on the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and equipped with WiFi, up to 32GB storage expansion, thanks to a micro-SD card slot, Bluetooth connectivity as well as GPS.
It has a 0.3 megapixel front camera.
The Iconia weighs just 320g and is about the same size of a paperback book, which makes it easy to hold and slip into your bag.
Question: What can it do
Answer: It's perfect as a gaming tablet and useful for browsing and reading. The screen, however, is quite reflective for outdoor use.
The 2700mah battery provides about four to five hours of multimedia use and even more if all you do is read and surf.
The user experience is reasonably smooth. It's decent enough for most games. Angry Birds works well and suffers from no lag at all.
For the most part, the Acer Iconia B1 is ideal for children who play games on tabs or adults who want to surf or read while on the move.
Question: How does it look
Answer: It feels very plasticky, but this is easily forgiven considering it's price. Plastic, however, makes it extremely light and easy to handle when reading while lying down. There are few buttons on the side - only an on-off switch and volume control.
Question: Is it a good buy
Answer: This one is cheaper by RM100 compared with the Asus Memo Pad tablet. Considering this comes from a well-known company and supports ebooks, magazines, videos and games, the Acer Iconia B1 makes a good buy if you are looking for a second tablet to be shared with the family.
