Apricus Biosciences Inc hires Richard W Pascoe as CEO

Pharmaceutical company Apricus Biosciences Inc (NasdaqCM:APRI) revealed on Monday the appointment of Richard W Pascoe as its chief executive officer as well as a member of its board of directors effective 18 March 2013.
The company said that its interim chief executive officer, Steve Martin, will resume his responsibilities as senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Most recently, Pascoe has served as the chief executive officer of Somaxon Pharmaceuticals Inc, a position he has held since August 2008.
Previously, Pascoe has worked as the senior vice president, chief operating officer, chief commercial officer of ARIAD Pharmaceuticals Inc; senior vice president and vice president at King Pharmaceuticals Inc and was part of the commercial groups at Medco Research Inc, COR Therapeutics Inc, B Braun Interventional and The BOC Group.
