Rover.com Announces Exclusive Partnership with DockDogs to Promote Active Dog Lifestyles Nationwide
SEATTLE --(Business Wire)--
Rover.com, the digital dog
boarding leader that connects dog owners with approved, reviewed and
insured dog
sitters announced an exclusive partnership with DockDogs®,
the international leader in canine aquatic competitions where owners and
dogs can have the ultimate healthy bonding experience. Dock jumping is
the new "X Games" for both amateur and elite dog competition - bringing
together dog owners and their precious dogs to compete against national
champions in their local cities.
Rover.com and DockDogs are coming together to promote a
healthy lifestyle for both dogs and dog owners. In fact, dog owners
worldwide are known to enjoy longer lifespans, reduced blood pressure,
improved cardiovascular fitness, and far less stress on average than
their canine-less counterparts.
"Dog owners want their dogs to stay active, playful and happy while they
are away and nationwide events like DockDogs are a great way
to connect with local, trustworthy, Rover dog sitter that you can
utilize for dog care when you travel," said Aaron Easterly, CEO of
Rover.com. "Our partnership with DockDogs highlights our commitment to
the health and happiness of the dogs entrusted to our Rover sitters.
These events are an opportunity for dog owners, Rover.com sitters and
enthusiasts to come together and bond at a fun, active event."
"Our events draw tens of thousands of passionate dog owners who are
amazed by the feats of both our amateur and champion athletic
competitors," said Grant Reeves, DockDogs Worldwide president. "Rover's
partnership allows us to bring this event to people and their dogs
throughout the United States."
At a recent DockDogs event, the Indoor World Record for a
lateral jump (Big Air) was broken by Cochiti, a male Whippet. Cochiti
jumped 30'02" breaking the previous Indoor World Record held by Tony
Lampert and Baxter with a score of 29'03" set in February 2013.
Cochiti's handler is Diane Salts from Olympia, WA. Check out the world
record jump at http://www.facebook.com/RoverDotCom.
