Thomas A. Poland Joins Argo Group as Vice President to Head New Inland Marine Insurance Unit

Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. (NASDAQ: AGII), an international underwriter of specialty insurance and reinsurance products, announced today that Thomas A. Poland has joined Argo Group as vice president to head the new Inland Marine unit of Colony Specialty.

The company's broad portfolio of Inland Marine products will include: customer goods in transit, motor truck cargo legal liability, contractor's equipment, rigger's liability, builder's risk and renovation projects, installation floaters, commercial output policies, warehouse legal liability, and a variety of floaters.

Previously, Mr. Poland served as regional marine product line manager at Seneca / Crum & Forster and has held similar roles at Fireman's Fund Insurance and Reliance Insurance. He has a bachelor's degree n business management from Radford University and is a certified insurance counselor (CIC). Mr. Poland is also a member of the Southeast IMUA chapter. In his new role, he will be based in Colony Specialty's Alpharetta, Georgia office.
