BRIEF: Man charged with assaulting wife, son

Odessa police say a 28-year-old Odessa man choked his wife, threatened her with a knife and bit his 11-year-old son Thursday evening.
Domingo Celectino Hernandez, 1115 Milburn Ave., remained in Ector County Detention Center on Friday, where he was charged with aggravated assault of a family member and injury to a child, on a total $75,000 bond.
The assaults happened between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of Milburn, according to police incident reports. The reports stated Hernandez held his wife from behind and held a knife to her throat, and she suffered bruises, scratches and cuts to her arms and neck. Hernandez also held the boy down, bit his finger and choked him, police said.
Neither victim was reportedly transported to the hospital.
