BRIEF: Suspect in Midland robbery arrested

The suspect wanted in connection to a weekend robbery in Midland was arrested Friday morning by the Odessa Police Department.
William Edward Brown, P.O. Box 7635, was arrested at 9:55 a.m. after police received a tip about his work location, Odessa Police spokeswoman Sgt. Sherrie Carruth said. Investigators arrived at Fazoli's, 4241 JBS Parkway, and arrested Brown without incident, Carruth said.
Brown was awaiting bond in the Ector County Detention Center Friday.
Brown is the suspect in a Saturday robbery at Midland Park Mall. According to a news release from the City of Midland, Brown is accused of robbing a 60-year-old woman at gunpoint in the mall's parking lot.
A witness who saw the reported crime gave Midland police a licenses plate number that registered to Brown, the release stated. Brown also reported matched a description given by the victim.
