The Conceptua Advisory Board includes leaders in the Common Core movement, change agents in math education, and people with vast experience from the classroom to the national level. These advisors will guide Conceptua Math in its approach to curriculum development and delivery. The team includes: -- Steve Leinwand - Steve Leinwand is one of the most important voices in math education today. As a primary messenger in the Common Core movement, he boldly motivates school districts across the country. For over 30 years, Steve has held leadership positions in mathematics education. He is a Principal Research Analyst at the American Institutes for Research (AIR) in Washington, D.C., has served as a Mathematics Consultant with the Connecticut Department of Education, and was president of the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics.



-- Julie McNamara, PhD - Julie McNamara is a valuable Conceptua collaborator. Her doctoral research involved student achievement in fractions, and she consulted with Conceptua Math while writing her Math Solutions book, Beyond Pizzas and Pies: 10 Essential Strategies for Supporting Fraction Sense, Grades 3-5. Dr. McNamara is currently part of the TeachingWorks team at the University of Michigan and has served on teaching staffs at the University of California at Berkeley and Saint Mary's College.

He is a well-known speaker, author, and blogger (dy/dan) with over 15,000 followers on Twitter. He is pursuing a doctoral fellowship at Stanford University in math education.
