Barbara Hoey, Prominent Employment Lawyer, Returns to Kelley Drye

Kelley Drye & Warren LLP (Kelley Drye) announced today that Barbara E. Hoey has re-joined the firm as chair of the Labor and Employment practice. She had been with Kelley Drye for 20 years prior to departing in 2010 for another law firm.

Ms. Hoey has more than two decades of experience in counseling managemet in all areas of labor and employment law. She has defended employers in single-plaintiff and class action litigation and has won more than a dozen jury and bench trials involving claims arising under Title VII, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, False Claims Act, New York State Whistleblower Law, Family Medical Leave Act, and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.

Ms. Hoey said she is looking forward to working with lawyers she has known for years and with the many lateral partners Kelley Drye has recently brought on to pursue the firm's growth strategy. Ms. Hoey received her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, cum laude and her B.A. from University at Albany, SUNY, magna cum laude. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
