Back in January, Canonical showed off the Ubuntu Touch, its mobile interface meant for touchscreen smartphones and tablets. As per the Canonical's hardware requirements, the entry level Ubuntu smartphone should have 1 GHz Cortex A9 microarchitecture based processor with 512 MB to 1 GB RAM. Also there has to be capability to be convergent with the desktop platform. As of now, it is unclear whether the Ubuntu Edge will be an entry level smartphone or high end smartphone.
