Aug 16, 2013 (MarketLine via COMTEX) --
iPass Inc., a provider of cloud-based mobility management and networks connectivity services for enterprises and telecommunications carriers, has announced that TTNET, a subsidiary of Turk Telekom Group, is offering unlimited Wi-Fi roaming services powered by the iPass Open Mobile Exchange, or OMX, platform.
"TTNET customers can now access the Internet in 124 countries, enabled by our relationship with iPass," said Mert Basar, vice president of marketing at TTNET. Our WiFi Abroad service provides unlimited access to over 1.2 million hotspots at an affordable monthly rate. There is no cost to activate an account and customers are charged for network access only during the months they use the service."
"According to Informa Telecoms and Media, the average person uses close to 130 MB of Wi-Fi data per day on smartphone and tablet devices," said Steve Livingston, senior vice president at iPass. "With this kind of usage pattern, a communications service provider that offers an affordable data proposition to travelers will win the business of the high value, international travelers segment. TTNET can now unleash a highly differentiated service for high-value travelers to stay connected as if they are at home."
