Raising a cup to third anniversary [Gloucestershire Echo (England)]
(Gloucestershire Echo (England) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MORE than 30 people paid a visit to Coffee and Co in Montpellier Terrace for the third anniversary of Laptop Friday.
The event was designed to give freelancers and people who work from home the chance to get out of the house and work with some company.
It is also a chance to share ideas and the weekly get togethers have gone from strength to strength. Jonathan Pollinger is one of the co-founders of the event.
He said: Friday marked the third anniversary of Laptop Friday which is a weekly co-working and networking event. It started off in Moka in the Suffolks and now we are in Coffee and Co. It is mainly for freelancers and people who work from home.
It's a chance for employers to give people the opportunity to work from home.
It is for anyone that wants to work but with some company at the same time.
It is also about sharing ideas and normally we have about 20 people attend.
I would say it is getting more popular and there is definitely a trend of more and more people working from home. For more details, search for Laptop Friday on Facebook.
