BRIEF: Software problems may delay Jenks school buses [Tulsa World, Okla.]
(Tulsa World (OK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Aug. 19--Jenks Public Schools buses may experience delays of 20 to 30 minutes this afternoon due to issues with routing software.
The district sent a message to parents around 2:19 p.m. to alert them that buses may be delayed on their routes.
Because of the computer glitch, a few of the district's 11,000 students couldn't find their bus number. So buses will be delayed in leaving schools until staff make sure every student is on the correct bus, said Jenks spokeswoman Bonnie Rogers.
"They're not leaving the schools until we know every student belongs on that bus. And we won't go home until every student is at home," she said.
Today was the first day of school for students in the Jenks public school district.
