Gillard gibe hits MRN revenue
Aug 21, 2013 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) --
Macquarie Radio Network (MRN) has announced it made a net profit of $A9.1 million for the year to 30 June 2013. EBITDA increased by 110 per cent to $A14.2 million, although revenue fell from $A64 million to $A60.8 million. The decline was in part attributed to MRN's decision to cancel all advertising on Alan Jones's 2GB talk back radio show for a number of days, after the broadcaster made controversial comments concerning then prime minister Julia Gillard's father.
