Peabody Energy elects Glenn Kellow as president & CEO

Coal company Peabody Energy (NYSE:BTU) reported on Wednesday the appointment of Glenn Kellow as its president and chief operating officer.
The company said Kellow will serve as a member of its executive leadership team, reporting to its chairman and chief executive officer, Gregory H Boyce.
In the new role, Kellow will lead all aspects of the company's global operations, safety, production, sales/marketing, environmental, productivity improvement, engineering and planning.
Most recently, Kellow has served as president of the multinational Aluminum and Nickel business for BHP Billiton, a mining company.
Previously, Kellow was employed as president and chief operating officer of New Mexico Coal, director of the World Coal Association and the National Mining Association, chairman of Worsley Alumina (Australia), chairman of Mozal (Mozambique) and vice chairman of the Nickel Institute.
