Dubai investors hail Arabtec CEO appointment [Global Data Point]
(Global Data Point Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Dubai bourse's market index DFMGI closed 0.23% higher at 2,670.43 amid volatile performance on Wednesday. Arabtec, which gained 3.92% to hit Dhs2.65, was the share of the day as the UAE's biggest construction group said it has appointed Sami Asad as Group CEO. Asad left Abu Dhabi's leading developer Aldar last week. After GGICO gained 15%% in the last three days, the shares fell 2.06% to Dhs0.57. Eleven shares advanced, while 9 declined. Around 660m shares were traded, valued at Dhs658m.
