Sharp enters into cross-licensing agreement with OSRAM

Sharp Corporation, a Japan-based manufacturer of electronic components, computer hardware and peripherals, has entered into a patent cross-licensing agreement covering LEDs (light-emitting diodes) and laser diodes with OSRAM AG, a Germany-based manufacturer of lamps and lighting systems.
The cross-licensing agreement grants to both Sharp and OSRAM the right to use inventions related to LED and laser diodes covered by the patents owned by the respective companies.
