Waljat College offers dual degree engineering programmes with premier universities from Canada and UK [Week, The (Oman)]
(Week, The (Oman) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Waljat College of Applied Sciences is offering dual degree programmes in engineering with the Queen's University in Canada and University of Leeds, England. Under this programme, interested stu dents from the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Electronics and Communication may now avail an opportunity to get an engineering degree both from the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences (FEAS) at Queen's University in Canada and Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), India. Eligible students from the Department of Electronics and Communication can also avail the dual degree pro gramme with the University of Leeds, England.
Dr Mohan Varma, professor and dean, Waljat College, said, "The dual degree programme offers our engineering students global exposure in higher edu cation. This way, students gain a more robust educational foun dation that better prepares them for lucrative and challeng ing global careers in engineer ing. It is also a great learning for the students as they will receive comprehensive education from premier international universi ties. We are offering this pro gramme in cooperation with two of the most renowned uni versities in the world. BIT, of course, is a centre of excellence in India. Our dual degree pro gramme is the result of our ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education that we cur rently offer and many students have already applied for the dual degree facility."

Undergraduate academic programmes in Computer Applications and Business Administration and an Executive MBA programme are also offered in parttime mode for employed persons.
