Locket is introducing a new way to use smartphones to do something good for others on a daily basis with its new initiative called "Locket Cares."
According to a release, Locket Cares allows Locket app users to help charity organizations by doing something they do over 120 times per day unlocking their phones.
Locket noted that it partnered with Free Arts for Abused Children, an organization in Los Angeles that inspires hope in the lives of children who have experienced abuse, neglect, poverty and homelessness Through creative arts programs and positive interactions with caring adult volunteers, Free Arts has brought healing art programs to more than half a million of Los Angeles' most vulnerable children. Under the motto "Art heals," Free Arts helps children channel emotions and release pent-up feelings through expressive art forms, and Locket is backing the organization by driving donations and featuring children's artwork on Locket users' lock screens
"We are excited to give back to our community through Locket Cares Program," says Yunha Kim, the CEO and co-founder of Locket. "As much as monetary support through our donations would be helpful to the organization, offering these children the opportunity to display their delightful artwork to the lock screens of more than 100K Locket users would mean a world to them. Locket users will be able to do something nice for the community on a daily basis by doing something they do all the time checking their phone. Donating has never been easier. We hope our users will enjoy the inspiring artwork featured on their lock screens."
Additionally, last month, Locket launched an Android application that delivers ads on smartphone lock screens and pays users to unlock their phones. Locket has partnered with big brand advertisers such as Hershey's, and is boasting its industry-record engagement metrics with its "First Glance Advertising" platform.
Locket is available to download for Android on the Google Play Store.
Locket is a category-creating mobile advertising application that delivers tailored ads to smartphone lock screens and rewards users for swiping to unlock their phones.
