Cloud Connect Chicago Featuring Zipcar and Weather.com on Keynote Stage

Cloud Connect Chicago, produced by UBM Tech, on August 26 announced its initial keynote lineup which includes executives from Zipcar, The Weather Company's Weather.com and more to discuss triumphs and lessons learned from their business' cloud implementations.
According to a release, Cloud Connect will return to Chicago October 21 - 23 in a new downtown location, McCormick Place.
UBM Tech reported that headliners will unveil case studies, share insights on the trends driving the future of cloud computing, and present advancements to enable organizations transitioning to the cloud. To date, the keynote lineup includes:
-Alistair Croll, Vice President, CloudOps Research
-Margaret Dawson, Vice President of Product Marketing & Cloud Evangelist, HP Cloud Services
-Duke Skarda, CTO, SoftLayer
-Paul Walsh, Vice President of Weather Analytics and Meteorologist, The Weather Company
-Robin Chase, Founder, Zipcar and GoLoco
Further, Zipcar's Robin Chase will open the first keynote session with a case study on Zipcar's pooled resource model, which reflects the concept on which cloud computing was built. Following, The Weather Company's Paul Walsh will speak to big data analysis of weather patterns and their effect on global supply chains. On the second day of keynotes, HP's Margaret Dawson will moderate a panel entitled, "Stack Wars: The Battle for the Enterprise Cloud," to spark discussion on the unresolved debate around which stack is best suited for enterprise use.

In addition to keynote sessions, Cloud Connect Chicago includes five tracks of conference content: Amazon Web Services & Eucalyptus, CloudStack, OpenStack, Platform-as-a-Service and Virtualization & Private Cloud. The event opens on Monday, October 21 with a full day of intensive cloud computing education through a series of Summits and Boot Camps that will outline standards and emerging trends around big data, security and risk, as well as management strategies in increasingly heterogeneous cloud environments.
