Lowe Selected as VPFA for Dickinson State
(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) DICKINSON, N.D., Aug. 30 -- Dickinson State University issued the following news release:
Dr. D.C. Coston, president of Dickinson State University, announced Friday, Aug. 30, that Mr. Mark Lowe, CPA, has been appointed the vice president for finance and administration, effective Sep. 3, 2013.
"I am honored to have been selected by Dr. Coston to serve as Dickinson State University's next vice president for finance and administration," said Lowe. "DSU has a proud history of service to the students and citizens of southwest North Dakota and I am very excited to be part of continuing that legacy into the future."
Lowe, holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Mayville State University and master of business administration degree from North Dakota State University. Lowe has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1984. He began his career at DSU in 1981 as an accounting instructor and became DSU's controller in 1984.
Lowe served as co-chair of the North Dakota University System (NDUS) campus advisory committee when the NDUS implemented the PeopleSoft, Campus Solutions and HRMS software. He continues to serve on this committee and a variety of state wide workgroups including the performance funding task force in the spring of 2012. Lowe is frequently called upon by the NDUS due to his experience and reliability to oversee development and testing of new policies and procedures.
"Mark has experience, deep knowledge about North Dakota higher education and DSU in particular," said Coston. "He is committed to this institution and I am confident that DSU will be well served with Mark as our vice president for finance and administration."
Lowe and his wife Kathy, are active followers and supporters of Blue Hawk athletics, theater, music and dance.
