Seven West Media COO Lund candidate for NBN CEO - report [Global Data Point]
(Global Data Point Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Seven West Media's chief operating officer Rohan Lund has emerged as one of several potential candidates to replace National Broadband Network Co chief executive Mike Quigley, who resigned in July, reports The Australian. Executive recruitment firm Egon Zehnder's search has identified Lund as a candidate for his experience working at telco and consumer-facing businesses. In May, Lund played a key role in Seven's AUD 10.4 million joint investment with Telstra to develop an online consumer health directory called HealthEngine. Prior to joining the media company, Lund was strategy director of SingTel Optus. He has also served as a director at Australia's first LTE network, Vividwireless. Sources told the paper that other names on Egon's shortlist include former British Airways and Cathay Pacific boss Rod Eddington, the chairman of government adviser Infrastructure Australia and a long-standing News Corp Australia director. Other names in the mix for the job include former Melbourne Storm boss and telecommunications veteran Ron Gauci and SingTel consumer chief Paul O'Sullivan.
