Getting smart [South Wales Evening Post (Wales)]
(South Wales Evening Post (Wales) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SMART phones have been around for a while now. Thanks to the vast array of apps on offer, it seems to me that using it to phone a friend is probably one of the least likely uses people put them to.
Now the council is getting in on the act with its own My Council app. You can use it to get in touch to report potholes, street light failures and a range of other services too.
Years ago the only way you could do business with the council was by walking into a council building and asking for advice.
Of course you can still do that, but it's important we use technology to provide services more effectively and efficiently, and reach out to people who perhaps otherwise wouldn't get in touch or get involved in democracy.
