Mobile phone buying intentions reveal Apple 'multiplier effect'

A Roy Morgan Single Source survey found that many Australians own multiple Apple devices. About 1.6 million people plan to purchase an Apple iPhone in the next year. This is 39 per cent of all mobile telephone users intending to buy a new mobile phone. Eighty-five per cent of consumers who own an iPhone, an iPad and a Mac computer plan to upgrade their iPhone. Fifty-nine per cent who own at least one of the products plans to purchase or upgrade their iPhone. Ownership of Apple products increases the likelihood of buying more.
