Los Alamos National Security Assigned Patent

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 7 -- Los Alamos National Security, Los Alamos, N.M., has been assigned a patent (8,524,963) developed by R. Thomas Baker, Los Alamos, N.M., Alfred P. Sattelberger, Darrien, Ill., and Hongbo Li, Los Alamos, N.M., for a "supported organoiridium catalysts for alkane dehydrogenation."
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: "Solid supported organoiridium catalysts, a process for preparing such solid supported organoiridium catalysts, and the use of such solid supported organoiridium catalysts in dehydrogenation reactions of alkanes is provided. The catalysts can be easily recovered and recycled."
