TOKYO - Softbank Mobile Corp. saw a net gain of 250,300 mobile phone contracts in August, making it the biggest winner of new subscriptions among major Japanese carriers for the 20th straight month due to brisk sales of Apple Inc.'s iPhone 5, according to data released by the carriers Friday.

OSAKA - Japanese stationery maker Kokuyo Co. said Friday it will buy Indian notebook manufacturer Riddhi Enterprises around October for about 900 million yen to make a full-scale push into the notebook market in India.
