AutoTrader.com Leverages MicroStrategy's Mobile App Platform to Drive Business Productivity [Travel & Leisure Close - Up]
(Travel & Leisure Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MicroStrategy, a provider of enterprise software platforms, announced that AutoTrader.com has successfully deployed its Strategic Account Management Process (AMP) app, a MicroStrategy- enabled iPad application, to its sales force.
AutoTrader.com, is an Internet auto classifieds marketplace and consumer information Web site.
"Our MicroStrategy Mobile app is a game changer for our business," said James Tom, Senior Director of Sales Strategy, AutoTrader.com. "With MicroStrategy, AutoTrader.com executives have the ability to tap their iPad devices and track the performance of the company's top producers instantly, and by glancing at up-to- date sales information, our sales force can engage in meaningful conversations with member auto dealers."
According to a release, the MicroStrategy AMP application gives AutoTrader.com's sales force mobile access to sales reports via their iPad devices on a near real-time basis. With the ability to pinpoint sales effectiveness and access all data about their client, an Autotrader.com advertising consultant can engage with an auto dealer about its advertising efforts and access critical information to provide solutions during a person-to-person meeting.
"We turned to MicroStrategy to empower our sales force with the leading mobile solution in the market," said Scott Salter, Senior Director of Enterprise Data and Shared Services, AutoTrader.com. "We had a pilot application up and running within six weeks and then released AMP to the entire field within three months. We have received positive feedback from a broad user community regarding their ability to access reports at any time, regardless of where they are in the field."
"Since deploying the MicroStrategy-enabled iPad application, customer usage by dealers and the sales force has grown 40 times: from 4,500 requests weekly, to 175,000 requests weekly," added Salter. "We believe this spike in AMP's usage is indicative of its success, and MicroStrategy plays a big part in this."
"MicroStrategy customers continue to deploy critical mobile apps to access real-time information and boost employee productivity," said Hugh Owen, Vice President, Mobile Intelligence, MicroStrategy Inc. "Mobile workforces, like the one at AutoTrader.com, have 24/7, anytime, anywhere access to the latest information about their businesses and can make meaningful decisions using their tablets and smartphones."
