(Winston-Salem Journal (NC) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Sept. 10--DataChambers, based in Winston-Salem, said Monday that McCracken & Lopez PA has been selected to design and engineer the company's 50,000-square-foot data center in N.C. Research Campus in Kannapolis.
The center will be built to meet the high security standards required by DataChambers and its clients, including being rated to withstand hurricane-force winds. It also will incorporate the latest LEED standards developed by the U.S. Green Building Council for energy efficient operation.
When fully staffed, the new center is expected to have between 20 and 30 employees. Construction is expected to begin this fall for completion by mid-2014.
DataChambers opened a new data center this summer on Garner Station Boulevard in Raleigh.
