Cislo & Thomas Unveils Online Provisional Patent Filing Service
Sep 10, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
Cislo & Thomas announced its online system to quickly and inexpensively file for a provisional patent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in three steps.
According to a release, PatentFiler.com is a three-step approach that levels the playing field as a way to get a provisional patent application on file for $295, including USPTO filing fees. Being the first to file is extremely important as the America Invents Act (2011) will grant patent rights only to those inventors who were the first to file their patent application.
The new law now encourages and rewards inventors who file their patent application with the USPTO first. "Many small businesses fear that this may be detrimental, as larger companies have in-house patent counsel that can quickly file patent applications," said Dan Cislo, Managing Patent Attorney at Cislo & Thomas. "However, PatentFiler.com allows anyone to quickly and inexpensively file a provisional patent application in minutes."
PatentFiler was founded by patent attorneys who together have decades of experience in patent law and will make sure that PatentFiler applications are properly filed. It also facilitates consultations with a patent attorney, including assistance with regard to further protection, development and licensing of an inventor's or a business's patent rights. PatentFiler.com also provides a step-by-step development path to commercialize an invention in a 10-month period at no additional charge.
Cislo & Thomas handles all aspects of patent, copyright and trademark searching, filing, licensing, clearance, maintenance, and litigation.
