Cops may be charged on arrest
Sep 10, 2013 (The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) --
Police officers were found to have given false evidence that Corey Barker assaulted them in a clash outside a Ballina hotel ahead of his arrest in January 2011. An inquiry by the Police Integrity Commissioner found that the officers do not appear to have conspired to pervert the course of justice. The five serving and one ex-New South Wales Police officers may face charges for crimes including perjury, assault and fabricating evidence.
