ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 13 -- EMC, Hopkinton, Mass., has been assigned a patent (8,532,300) developed by Justin Searles, Tyngsboro, Mass., for a "symmetric is encryption key management."
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: "Secure key management is provided for a symmetric encryption key. The symmetric encryption key is encrypted differently for two or more devices via which the symmetric encryption key is stored."
