Sep 15, 2013 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) --
The former government was informed weeks ahead of the Federal election that delays had increased the funding needed for the national broadband network project by $A1.6 billion. The NBN Co revealed in a draft document that peak funding of $A45.6 billion was required to build the network. It said the extra money would be borrowed from debt markets.
