Hibernia Networks Purchases Atrato IP Networks

Hibernia Networks, a provider of telecommunications services, announced its acquisition of Atrato IP Networks, a provider of IP-transit and carrier services.
According to a release, the acquisition will bring enhanced capabilities and expanded product depth, spurring technology growth and business development throughout Northern Ireland and across the globe. Atrato's network and highly skilled team enhance the Hibernia services suite and experienced employee base, further enabling high capacity, secure connectivity options globally. Hibernia remains fully committed to maintaining the highest level of customer support and business continuity throughout the combined networks.
Hibernia reported that this acquisition will bring further opportunities to Northern Ireland enhancing the suite of services already available from its telecom terrestrial and submarine network throughout Northern Ireland and back to the United States. The network over the years has furthered economic development throughout Ireland, Europe and extended telecommunications solutions to carriers, service providers, media companies, enterprises and financial institutions.
Additionally, providing high performance and services to support high traffic businesses, Atrato's solutions include IP-transit, remote IX and managed services. The company has a global presence across fifteen countries worldwide throughout the U.S. and Europe. By leveraging Atrato's experienced technical team in Amsterdam, Hibernia will now have a second technical center of leadership in Europe, building upon its Dublin, Ireland base, and further emphasizing its global strength and expanded reach for clients.
