(Estates Gazette (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Office of Fair Trading has cleared Tesco’s purchase of 33 stores from Spar operator Alfred Jones.
The deal was agreed through Tesco’s independently managed group, One Stop.
It will mean that there will be 682 One Stop shops in England and Wales.
The OFT launched an investigation in the summer to evaluate whether One Stop’s acquisition of the 33 stores could reduce competition.
