(Estates Gazette (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) UGL has appointed Jones Lang LaSalle corporate solutions Americas chief executive Tod Lickerman as DTZ’s global chief executive.
Lickerman’s appointment takes effect on 14 October.
Australian group UGL said the appointment is a “key strategic change which will accelerate growth and further capitalise on the momentum DTZ is already generating as the business prepares to standalone as an ASX-listed company with revenue in excess of $2bn (£1.3bn) and 45,000 people operating across 52 countries”.
Lickerman has nearly 30 years’ experience in the property services industry, with the majority of his career spent with Jones Lang LaSalle.
UGL plans to complete a demerger by the end of June 2015 to create two standalone Australian Stock Exchange-listed companies.
One firm – DTZ – will be focused on global property services and the other on engineering, construction and maintenance services in Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
UGL managing director and chief executive, Richard Leupen, said: “Our ability to attract a candidate of Tod’s calibre is testament to the strength and potential of the DTZ platform.
“Tod is an industry veteran and a talented, top tier senior executive who shares our vision of creating a world leader in property services.
“His extensive operational experience, unparalleled understanding of the needs of corporate clients and entrepreneurial drive will provide the strategic leadership required for the next phase of DTZ’s evolution.”
