SHFE issues new provisions on depository banks
BEIJING, Sep 25, 2013 (Xinhua via COMTEX) --
The Shanghai Futures Exchange
(SHFE) published on Wednesday new provisions on depository banks of
the margins for trading on the commodity exchange.
Under the new rules published by the SHFE, a bank eligible to
apply for the custodial business needs at least 1.5 trillion yuan
worth of gross assets and no less than 100 billion yuan worth of net
assets, as well as a registered capital no less than 10 billion yuan.
Meanwhile, an eligible candidate shall have more than 600 branches
across China and be consistently profitable for over three fiscal
According to the SHFE, the new provisions will be put into
