(Telegraph-Herald (Dubuque, IA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Jim Lange, chief operating officer of third-party administration, has been promoted to chief executive officer of Platinum Supplemental Insurance.
Lange joined Platinum eight months ago.
He will collaborate with Wayne Briggs, Platinum's president and chairman of its board, on efforts to expand and improve the company as a whole, from product development to the improvement of internal processes and company structure.
"In the time since Jim has joined Platinum, he has shown a very clear understanding of the systems and processes that are needed in order to take Platinum to the next level," Briggs said. "I believe his leadership skills and vision for Platinum are true assets that can have a positive impact across the rest of the company."
In this position, Lange will continue to encourage a culture of high performance and focus on developing the infrastructure of Platinum to ensure the company has the tools, departments and leaders it needs to support its financial goals.
"My goals are to identify and address areas that need improvement and work with company leaders to make adjustments, so we can continue to function at a high level," Lange said.
