Samsung Unveils Latest Developments to Home Theater Lineup [Professional Services Close - Up]
(Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Samsung Electronics America, Inc., a provider of digital media and digital convergence technologies, on September 19 introduced its latest vacuum tube developments to its home theater lineup.
According to a release, the Soundbar (HW-F850) and the 7.1 Channel Home Theater System (HT-F9730W) offer quality digital and analog sound technologies with wireless connectivity.
The company reported that the HW-F850 and HT-F9730W are built to immerse viewers with a complete cinematic experience. Powering the two products is an amplifier that gives listeners the best of both worlds - the warmth of analog vacuum tubes and the power and efficiency of digital amplification. A range of built-in wireless capabilities enable easy set-up and sharing of content across mobile devices and Samsung Smart TV sets.
"As consumers demand bigger and better TVs, they're also looking for great sound to complete their home theater experience," says Jim Kiczek, director of digital audio and video at Samsung Electronics America. "Our latest additions to our vacuum tube products deliver warm and authentic sound, a sleek, modern design, and hassle-free set-up and playback, whether customers are looking for a soundbar or a complete home theater system."
Additionally, the HW-F850 builds on technology used in the vacuum- tube and digital amp based HW-F750, adding 40W of sound power (350W total) and deeper bass by incorporating a larger 8" subwoofer and adding 10" to the length to make it the first Samsung soundbar especially suited for 60-inch and larger TVs. The glowing vacuum- tube preamp combines the warmth and natural sound of analog with the latest digital audio technology to deliver a rich sound.
The soundbar can lie horizontally on a home entertainment center or be wall mounted with the supplied mounting hardware, while the built-in positioning sensor will gauge height, rotation and slope to optimize sound quality, no matter how the soundbar is placed. Combined with the wireless features, this virtually eliminates restrictions on where consumers can place the HW-F850 in their homes.
The HT-F9730 elevates the complete home theater experience with the latest in surround sound and media player technology. The system offers one of the best 3D audio offering on the market, incorporating DTS Neo Fusion technology that adds front-height and surround-height sound effects to create a spatial dimension unheard of in home systems, until now. The system also incorporates Samsung's vacuum-tube and digital amp technology, offering the world's first home theater with GaN AMP technology which reduces unnecessary and harsh sound distortion from the digital amp to deliver pure sound.
The HT-F9730 system boasts a 7.1-channel, 1,330-watt offering, along with new carbon nanotube diaphragms which speed up speaker reaction time and an enhanced Power Bass.
The HT-F9730's Smart Blu-ray player uses Samsung's Smart Hub interface to offer a streamlined way to search for and access all of your content and more. Smart Hub includes a full web browser, TV Apps, and an S-Recommendation service. The player also includes Samsung's 4K upscaling technology, which allows upconversion of any type of content into a crisp and clear picture with four times the resolution of Full HD.
The HW-F850 and HT-F9730W are available now.
