Customer Service Week
Learn how to increase your customer service effectiveness through a four-part customer service video training series offered Oct. 9 at the Arizona Western College Entrepreneurial Center, 1351 S. Redondo Center Drive.
The series features video of Lily Tomlin in one of her many disguises, Ernestine the Telephone Operator, in her famous "one ringy-dingy, two ringy-dingy" customer service teaching moments. The series includes the Seven Deadly Sins of Customer Service, Dealing With Disappointed Customers, What Customers Want and One Ringy Dingy.
Cost is $15 each session or a 20 percent discount for all four.

Financial adviser sponsors coffee club
Kristin Shore, a local Edward Jones financial adviser, will be hosting a coffee club at 8:30 a.m. every Wednesday at 11274 S. Fortuna Road, Suite D-3. Coffee and donuts will be provided.

County code course offered for Realtors, general public
In collaboration with the Coalition of Arizona County Code Enforcement Officials, Arizona Western College is offering an online county code enforcement certification course for code enforcement officials, Realtors, brokers and the general public.
This is a self-paced, seven-module course facilitated by certified county code enforcement officials and delivered online via Blackboard.
Participants will also have online access to the enforcement officials, who will be available for support and questions and answers from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The course must be completed within 90 days from the date of registration.
Participants can complete the course entirely from home or office and at any time of the day or night. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a zoning inspector certificate signed by the presidents of the Arizona Association of County Planning Directors and CACCEO, receive a certificate of completion from AWC, and be awarded 2.1 continuing education units by the AWC Continuing Education Division.
