ABC Laboratories Announces Morse Relocation
COLUMBIA, Mo. --(Business Wire)--
ABC Laboratories has announced plans to move operations of its
subsidiary, Morse Laboratories of Sacramento, California, to ABC's
recently expanded campus in Missouri. The move is the most recent of
management decisions aimed at integrating operations, building capacity
and enhancing client satisfaction.
"For many months, we've been sharing best practices and working to align
processes," said John Bucksath, ABC President and CEO. "We wanted to be
sure we could deliver the same standard of quality, service, and client
experience, regardless of where studies are performed. Demand for our
services is increasing, and we had to address the Sacramento facilities.
We evaluated a number of scenarios, and relocation just made the most
sense." Morse has been operating out of a leased building in need of
upgrades with no room to grow, he said. Bucksath has been with ABC for
24 years and was naed CEO last September.
The company has offered employees at the Sacramento location positions
in Columbia, and has named Kevin Clark, longtime technical lead and
director at Morse, the new Senior Director of Operations for the Residue
and Analytical Services groups at ABC Laboratories. "ABC has a great
facility, a broad service offering and a talented technical staff," said
Clark. "I am excited to lead this new chapter for our combined residue
group." Clark has been with Morse for 28 years.
In conjunction with the move, ABC announced it will roll Morse under the
ABC trade name and discontinue use of the Morse brand.
