LANSING, Mich., Oct. 4 -- The Michigan Public Service Commission issued the following order:
In the matter of the application of GLOBALCOM, INC., for a license to provide basic local exchange service throughout the state of Michigan in the zone and exchange areas served by Case No. U-13242 Verizon North Inc., Verizon North Systems, and Ameritech Michigan.
At the October 4, 2013 meeting of the Michigan Public Service Commission in Lansing, Michigan.

Hon. Sally A. Talberg, Commissioner
On December 27, 2001, Globalcom, Inc., filed an application, pursuant to the Michigan Telecommunications Act, MCL 484.2101 et seq., for a license to provide basic local exchange service. On February 25, 2002, the Commission granted the application. On September 13, 2013, Globalcom, Inc., informed the Commission of its intent to surrender the license. Globalcom, Inc., stated that it has no customers and has ceased operations in Michigan.
THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that:
A. The license of Globalcom, Inc., to provide basic local exchange service is rescinded.
B. Globalcom, Inc., shall surrender to the North American Numbering Plan Administrator any numbers that have been assigned to it.
The Commission reserves jurisdiction and may issue further orders as necessary.
Any party desiring to appeal this order must do so by the filing of a claim of appeal in the Michigan Court of Appeals within 30 days of the issuance of this order, under MCL 484.2203(12).
