Altibox scraps 2 TV channels, extends IPv6 trial [Global Data Point]
(Global Data Point Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Altibox said it is scrapping two TV channels, and that it is to offer IPv6 services to a broader customer group. Altibox said it is removing ZDF from the extended package and from its Danish/German package, and in addition, is removing the Frikanalen public access channel from its basic package. It added that it has tested IPv6 among 2,000 customers and is now offering a trial service to subscribers with a ZyXEL home hub. The aim is to gather enough feedback to be able to offer it to all 70,000 of its ZyXEL users by the end of the year. Its ultimate goal is to be able to offer Ipv6 to all 300,000 Altibox customers before the end of 2014.
