GFH appoints new chairman [Gulf Daily News (Bahrain)]
(Gulf Daily News (Bahrain) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MANAMA: Bahrain-based Islamic investment bank Gulf Finance House (GFH) yesterday announced that Essam Janahi has resigned as chairman.
He has been replaced by Dr Ahmed Al Mutawa, ho has served as vice-chairman for the past two years.
Mr Janahi tendered his resignation at the last meeting of the board of directors.
Dr Al Mutawa, a UAE national, brings more than 34 years of experience to the bank. He was the managing director of the Abu Dhabi-based Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development. He has also served as the secretary-general of Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting. He also serves as board member in various banking, educational and business conglomerates.
Dr Al Mutawa has been closely involved in the restructuring of the GFH and the development of its current strategy.
