Mkt Watch: A-shares with 4G concept likely to keep strong Wed. on policy support

A-shares with 4G concept are likely to
keep strong on Wednesday as China's National Development and Reform C
ommission(NDRC) released a document Tuesday to further promote the ind
ustrialization of the country's 4G technologies.
According to the document, the government will provide policy sup
port to speed up R&D of key technologies in mobile internet, cultivate
leading enterprises to integrate resources, improve public service pl
atform, enhance service capabilities of the whole mobile internet indu
stry, and promote innovation and piloting program in TD-LTE sector.
Miao Wei, minister with the Ministry of Industry and Information Te
chnology (MIIT), said at PT/EXPO COMM China 2013 at the end of Septemb
er this year that the 4G licenses would be released officially at the
end of this year.
Earlier, Miao said the country had a breakthrough on the research
of 4G technologies recently, and 4G licenses would be released in the
near future. Industrial insiders consider that with the release of 4G
licenses, many fields of telecommunication industry would confront lo
ts of challenges and competition. The government was expected to inves
t exceeding 300 billion yuan in the coming three years. Relevant secto
