AirTight Networks appoints new chief marketing officer

Oct 09, 2013 (MarketLine via COMTEX) -- AirTight Networks, a provider of cloud-managed Wi-Fi solutions, has announced the appointment of Steven Glapa as the new chief marketing officer.

Glapa will be responsible for the global structure, strategy, and execution of all aspects of AirTight's marketing efforts, with a tight focus on enhancing market presence to capitalize on the company's technology leadership and to accelerate growth.

"The Wi-Fi industry is at the very early stage of a whole new wave of development, driven by customer demand for solutions that go well beyond wireless access to include location, user analytics, social engagement, and reliable security, all within an easy-to-use cloud framework," noted David King, AirTight's Chairman and CEO.

"Our solution meets that full spectrum of demand, and our customers love it. Our next steps are to spread the word and to build the channel to meet the exploding demand in this space. Steven's experience driving rapid growth for Ruckus in the last wave of Wi-Fi is a perfect fit with our needs in marketing leadership." Glapa comes to AirTight with 15 years in telecom networking innovation, including senior management roles at Ruckus Wireless, where he led field marketing and business development efforts crucial to their past four years of 70% annual growth and successful IPO, as well as at Booz & Co., Lucent, ArrayComm, and Zhone.
