Corero Network Security enters into strategic agreement with Neustar
Oct 09, 2013 (MarketLine via COMTEX) --
Corero Network Security, Inc. has entered into an agreement under the Strategic Alliance Program with Neustar, Inc., a provider of cloud-based distributed denial of service, or DDoS, protection services.
As a Neustar Strategic Alliance Program partner, Corero enables its customers to extend the power of its on-premise always on protection with the added security and flexibility of Neustar's on-demand, cloud-based DDoS protection services to combat growing cyber-threats.
"The dilemma facing many organizations is whether to deploy an on-premise DDoS appliance or subscribe to a cloud provider for DDoS protection on-demand. With a hybrid approach to DDoS protection, organizations can rest easy with a solution that combines the best of both worlds," says Nirav Shah, Director of Product Management at Corero.
The Corero DDoS Defense System (DDS) provides always on protection against the full range of potential DDoS attacks from low level fragment attacks, through session oriented SYN-floods to advanced application layer abuse. In cases where a customer needs expert assistance in mitigating an attack or the attack bandwidth exceeds the capacity of an enterprise's Internet connectivity, additional protection would be provided using a failover service to Neustar's SiteProtect cloud-based DDoS mitigation service. Additionally, with the Corero SecureWatch PLUS service, enterprises can benefit from the collaborative communication among the DDoS solution providers, thereby adding threat intelligence and control to their business continuity plan.
Neustar's Strategic Alliance Program allows partners to promote a world-class cloud-based DDoS mitigation service to their customers. "Neustar is excited to have Corero as a Strategic Alliance Program partner. By extending access to Neustar and our expert mitigation teams, Corero will ensure that its customers are prepared to address the growing threat of DDoS attacks," said Alex Berry, Senior vice president of Enterprise Services.
"Our customers have seen the robust benefits of using the hybrid combination of on-demand cloud services and on-premise DDoS defenses to combat the ever expanding range of cyber threats that challenges online businesses today. We are pleased to extend a more comprehensive solution to enterprises experiencing the damaging effects of the varied DDoS attacks." said Ashley Stephenson, CEO, Corero Network Security.
